The 2011 Australia Day Festival will be an exciting day of fun, fashion and food bringing families and friends together to enjoy a full program of activities. The Festival will commence with the Australia Day Multi-Faith Ceremony at 10am in the Suncorp Piazza.
Following the ceremony, a jam-packed entertainment program will take place at the Suncorp Piazza from 11am to 5pm, including performances from Network Ten’s Totally Wild and Toasted TV personalities as well as fashion parades and cooking demonstrations. A number of exciting activities and workshops will also be taking place throughout the Parklands and Little Stanley Street will be abuzz with the Australia Day Young Designers Markets, DJs, restaurants and cafés.
The Festival will conclude with the AusSounds Australia Day Concert from 5pm, where local Queensland bands and multi-platinum artist and six time ARIA nominee, Guy Sebastian, will perform at the Cultural Forecourt. Following AusSounds, a spectacular fireworks finale will bring the 2011 Australia Day celebrations to a close.
